Update on Coach Hiring Process

Hello Wilson Football Fans! Here is a letter from Mike Nolan with an update on the Coach hiring process:

Greetings Football Fans!

I wanted to reach out and give you all an update on where we are with hiring a new Football Coach to lead the Trojans.

We are currently in the process of collecting applications for the position and will start the interview process in the next week. Our goal is to get our new head coach in front of the Wilson Football Community by the first of February so they can start planning Spring Practices and building bridges in our community.

Wilson High School and our community is growing and I firmly believe that we are moving in a positive direction both academically and athletically. It is our goal to get a coach in place that can provide a safe, fun, positive, and competitive program for our student-athletes and pack the stands for Friday nights. Furthermore, it is priority number one to re-establish the Wilson Youth Football program as well. The lifeline to any program is a healthy and vibrant youth program and I know there are willing volunteers and infrastructure in place that we can ensure we provide a great opportunity for our youth football players in our community. I am extremely optimistic that the next coach we hire is going to bring a level of enthusiasm and commitment to ensure we have a full integration of the high school program and our youth program.

It is an exciting time to be a part of the Wilson Community and I want to thank you all for your continued support for all things Wilson!

Sincerely, Michael J. Nolan Athletic Director Wilson High School We March On! mnolan@pps.net 503-916-5280 ext. 75236
